Certificate of Completion Included
Transformative workshops and online classes for deathcare professionals, caregivers, and end of life advocates.
The 8 week online Death Class and two part Workshop series were designed to give everyday people the knowledge, language, and confidence to navigate one of life’s most certain — and least discussed — experiences. Whether you’re a caregiver sitting beside a loved one, a professional working in end-of-life care, or simply someone who wants to face mortality with more clarity and less fear, these workshops were built for you.
Death Class was developed out of a simple observation: most people encounter death completely unprepared. Not because they didn’t care, but because no one ever taught them what to expect. What does the dying body actually do? What rights do patients and families have within the medical system? What does comfort really look like — and when does intervention cause more harm than good? These are the questions Death Class was created to answer.
Each workshop and class blends clinical expertise with deep human compassion, drawing on nearly a decade of hospice and home care nursing to give you information that is honest, evidence-based, and grounded in real bedside experience. You will leave with a certificate of completion — and something far more valuable: the kind of understanding that transforms fear into presence, confusion into clarity, and helplessness into empowered, intentional care.

Over eight Wednesday evenings on Zoom, we move through the biology and physiology of dying, the medical model’s truths, myths, rights, and choices, and the language it takes to hold death as sacred — woven into community rather than handled apart from it. Clinical knowledge held in service of the sacred, never in place of it.
This series is taught from over a decade of clinical work and years spent at the bedside, guiding people through the dying process — returning to the honor and privilege of death work day after day. The goal is simple but ambitious: to change how death care happens from the inside out, reshaping how we approach the death experience as both medical providers and Community Death Guides.
