Death Class

Death Class is a two-part workshop series designed to give everyday people the knowledge, language, and confidence to navigate one of life’s most certain — and least discussed — experiences. Whether you’re a caregiver sitting beside a loved one, a professional working in end-of-life care, or simply someone who wants to face mortality with more clarity and less fear, these workshops were built for you.

Death Class was developed out of a simple observation: most people encounter death completely unprepared. Not because they didn’t care, but because no one ever taught them what to expect. What does the dying body actually do? What rights do patients and families have within the medical system? What does comfort really look like — and when does intervention cause more harm than good? These are the questions Death Class was created to answer.

Each workshop blends clinical expertise with deep human compassion, drawing on nearly a decade of hospice and home care nursing to give you information that is honest, evidence-based, and grounded in real bedside experience. You will leave with a certificate of completion — and something far more valuable: the kind of understanding that transforms fear into presence, confusion into clarity, and helplessness into empowered, intentional care.
